Grace Kipp joined
the firm as an associate in 2008. Kipp received her bachelor of arts
degree from the University of Virginia in 2002. She graduated,
summa cum laude, from the University of Alabama School of Law
in 2006. During law school, Kipp was selected as a Hugo Black
Scholar and elected to the Order of the Coif. She served as Editor
in Chief for the Alabama Law Review. She also was a member
of the John A. Campbell Moot Court Board and the Bench and Bar Honor
Society and a recipient of the Judge Walter P. Gewin Best Brief
Award and Dean Leigh Harrison Award.
After law school,
Kipp served as a law clerk to the Honorable Edward E. Carnes of the
United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Prior to
joining Spotswood Sansom & Sansbury LLC, she practiced in the areas of
insurance and financial services litigation.
Kipp is admitted to
practice in the state courts of Alabama, the United States Court of
Appeals for the Ninth and Eleventh Circuits, and the federal district
courts of the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama. She is
a member of the Alabama and Birmingham Bar Associations.
