Emily Tidmore is a litigator who has represented clients in complex litigation throughout the country. Tidmore's litigation experience includes commercial and labor-and-employment class actions, state and federal appeals, business torts, intellectual property, employment discrimination and retaliation, transportation industry regulation, and
punitive damages issues.

Tidmore also has substantial appellate experience. Before joining Spotswood Sansom & Sansbury LLC, Tidmore clerked for Judge Ed Carnes of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. In her third year of practice, Tidmore successfully petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court for writ of certiorari, and she has represented clients – both parties and amici – on appeal in the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the First, Ninth and Eleventh Circuits, and state appellate courts.

Tidmore is recognized by her clients, as well as opposing counsel, for her focus, attention to detail, and analytical thinking. In 2011, Tidmore was recognized as a "Rising Star" by Alabama Super Lawyers magazine, a designation awarded to no more than 2.5% of lawyers statewide.
