Emily Tidmore is
a litigator who has represented clients in complex litigation
throughout the country. Tidmore's litigation experience includes
commercial and labor-and-employment class actions, state and federal
appeals, business torts, intellectual property, employment
discrimination and retaliation, transportation industry regulation,
and
punitive damages issues.
Tidmore also has
substantial appellate experience. Before joining Spotswood Sansom &
Sansbury LLC, Tidmore clerked for Judge Ed Carnes of the U.S. Court of
Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. In her third year of practice, Tidmore
successfully petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court for writ of certiorari,
and she has represented clients – both parties and amici – on appeal in
the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the First, Ninth
and Eleventh Circuits, and state appellate courts.
Tidmore is
recognized by her clients, as well as opposing counsel, for her focus,
attention to detail, and analytical thinking. In 2011, Tidmore was
recognized as a "Rising Star" by Alabama Super Lawyers magazine, a
designation awarded to no more than 2.5% of lawyers statewide.
